Planters Warts
Go straight to treatment page
Planters Warts ( plantars warts ) are hard, callus like growths which are found under your feet. Planters warts are extremely common, and belong to the HPV family (human papillomavirus). Otherwise known as the wart virus, HPV is the fastest spreading virus in the whole of America, more than HIV aids. Planters warts make up a huge percentage of wart infections.
The problem with HPV, is that it can lay dormant in the body for many months, sometimes years, only to eventually surface as a wart. This means that there are many carriers of the virus, who are anaware that they have it, and may never even develop plantars warts. When planters wart symptoms occur, a treatment or remedy is extremely important, to avoid spreading the virus.
Planters warts are normally found in adolescents aged 12-16, but can be found in people of any, sex or race. Plantars warts are one of the easiest types of warts to contract. HPV can be picked up, through small cuts or cracks in the skin. Gym showers, for example, allow the HPV virus to spread with relative ease and therefore it becomes easy for plantars warts to spread .
Planters Warts Symptoms - What is H-Warts?
Planters warts start off with layers of skin under your foot starting to build up and form a growth which looks like a callus. They are normally hard, scaly and appear white or skin colour. They can also be identified by small brownish, black dots, under the skin. Plantars warts can also group together in clusters, and can become quite painful if not treated. Seeking a remedy quickly is advised.
