Skin Warts are very common and can be found anywhere on the body. Skin warts and all other warts are caused by a virus called the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). This is a virus which infects millions of people each year and spreads quickly and easily.
Most carriers of the virus have no skin warts at all. Even though there are no visible warts, the HPV virus can be present in the body, and can be passed on to other people with close contact such as sexual intercourse or in places such as gym showers and public swimming pools.

What about Treatment?
Most people go to a doctor and have warts burnt off, cut out or frozen. All of these methods have a very low success rate and may temporarily get rid of the warts but in most cases they end up growing back.
This is because the whole wart, including the root needs to be removed, otherwise the wart will grow back. The best method is to draw the warts out from the root upwards, so that once it flakes away, it will never grow back.
