My mother-in-law is a midwife and she is always on the lookout for good products to help with the birthing process. When she knew I was pregnant, she had a good search on the internet and came across your pregnancy and new mom products and she ordered a selection to try out on her patients so that she could then recommend any of them for me to use.

She was particularly impressed with your Heal Perineum because it worked so well in healing that whole area which takes such a lot of strain during pregnancy and the actual birth. Even if you don’t have an episiotomy and stitches, that area can be subjected to a lot of swelling. You can see that my mother-in-law kept me well informed.

And of course she looked after me so well during the pregnancy and the actual birth that I got away with just some swelling of the perineum and no stitches. Even so I was grateful for the product because it helped to take away the discomfort and to heal the whole area nice and quickly. So I would like to send my thanks and congratulations for that.

My girlfriends who had had babies were always moaning about how painful their stitches were after they had given birth and they had all had natural births.

Well when I was pregnant, I too wanted a natural birth if at all possible but I was not too keen on the thought of the painful stitches. Well unfortunately it was needed because even though I did what I could to strengthen the perineum, I had to have an episiotomy in order to aid delivery of my baby and then a few stitches afterwards.

I find it quite difficult to talk to others about intimate things and I felt my whole pregnancy and birth should be personal to me and I did not enjoy sharing it with others (even if they were medical people).
