A week or so after I delivered my baby by natural delivery, I developed an anal fissure. I got anal fissures when I was pregnant and in the early postpartum months too.

My doctor gave me some cream for it and told me to change my diet with lots of water, fiber etc so that my stools were soft. Well the advice he gave me helped with the stools and they did become soft. But the cream did not help.
