There is a great debate on the subject – is
popping a pimple right? There are those who say that
pimples or acne are best left to themselves and popping
pimples
only leads to scarring the face, the neck or the back
– at the place where the pimple is located.
But then there are those who are of the view that
if it is a whitehead (and not a blackhead), and if
it is on the surface of the skin (and not deep rooted
inside), then popping pimples causes no problems.
When it is popped, the nodule would be broken and
it would fall off, there would be no scar from it.

Popping pimples is a big issue because there is no
one who quite likes them on the on the body, particularly
the face. But very little can be done about them and
this leads to frustration. And given the fact that
pimples come at a crucial stage in life (in the teens)
when the young people are highly fashion conscious,
it can ruin the look and this fact makes the condition
more frustrating. The acne lesions can also become
itchy, and this too prompts many to pop them. Then
when they hear that it might not be right to pop them,
and add to that the constant worry of scarring the
skin surface, popping pimples suddenly becomes a big
issue.
But here’s the fact – it is safe to pop
pimples, just ensure that they are the whiteheads
and not the blackheads.
And also ensure that the pimples are not deep rooted.
Because if it is deep rooted, and it is popped, then
the infection can be pushed further down the skin
and this may lead to redness and swelling, and of
course scarring.
Popping pimples can be done in two ways. Naturally
and by using an extractor.
Naturally: Utmost care must be taken while doing
this, as a wrong step may lead to catastrophe. So
start off by washing the affected portion of the skin
with warm water to soften the skin. If there is any
makeup then remove it. Also sanitize the hand and
the hand can spread germs and other bacteria and end
up infecting the acne. Take a needle and sterilize
it. Now slowly prick the pimple tip using the needle.
After doing this, use toilet paper or a clean tissue
to tenderly take out the pus from within the pimple
by applying pressure. Do this till the entire fluid
has come out.
Popping Pimples Using A Extractor: There are quite
a few tools that help a person pop pimples. They include
syringes, extractors and tapes. But take care, tapes
may not work in all conditions and can end up causing
more harm than good. A blackhead
extractor looks like a spoon and is about 3 to
4 inches in size. It has many holes that let the pus
escape when the tool is used. Extractors come with
a carrying case making it easy to take them along.
There are quite a few medicines as well that helps
someone fight acne. Naturally developed and safe,
they are effective and so, there is no need to go
through the dilemma of popping pimples.
