Hemroids are a very common condition and bleeding
hemroids are a secondary condition which can arise
from the hemroids. Hemroids are so common that in
fact 50% of the population will suffer from them at
some time during their lives. Hemroids are veins which
are abnormally swollen and which occur in the rectum
and the anus. You can liken hemroids to the varicose
veins which appear on the legs, and hemroids are
often referred to as varicose veins of the anus. It
is when these swollen hemroids become irritated that
they can cause the surrounding membranes to swell,
burn, itch, become painful and bleed. You then have
bleeding
hemorrhoids.
The bleeding in bleeding hemorrhoids is usually seen
as small amounts of bright red blood on the toilet
paper or on the surface of the motions. This is when
we call them bleeding hemroids. There is a mucus covering
to these hemroids and this can become damaged quite
easily from a bowel movement, thereby causing some
bleeding. Very occasionally there is severe bleeding.
Internal bleeding hemorrhoids
Internal
bleeding hemroids develop above the dentate line
and they can range in size from a slight swelling
under the wall of the canal to large sagging veins
that protrude from the anus. However the most common
symptoms of internal bleeding hemroids is painless
rectal bleeding.
Bleeding hemroid causes
If you are pregnant or nursing, then bleeding hemroids
can also be a problem. The later stages of pregnancy,
the actual birth itself as well as any tendency to
be constipated can increase the pressure on any hemroids
so that they rupture. Bleeding hemroids can then result.
What are the different treatments available for bleeding
hemroids?
If you have hemroids as well as bleeding (even just
the occasional bleeding) then this is a secondary
condition caused by the hemroids rupturing. It is
important to treat the bleeding hemroids condition
first. Once the bleeding is healed, then the actual
hemroids need to be treated. Natural treatments work
best since there are no side effects.
You can save a trip to the Doctor for surgery and
treat
hemorhroids naturally and effectively using a
proven effective treatment called Heal
Hemorrhoids.
There are five types of hemroid surgery of which
three are used for external
hemroids and they are:
Hemroidectomy which is the surgical removal of a
hemroid.
Laser coagulation which involves an electric current
which is applied to the hemroid via an electrode probe
– the hemroid then undergoes a chemical reaction
that stops blood flow to the hemroid and allows the
swollen tissue to shrink.
Infrared photocoagulation where an infrared light
is used to coagulate the dilated vein which also promotes
tissue shrinkage.
The same three are used for internal hemroids but
in addition two non surgical methods are used:
Injection selerotherapy which is the injection of
a chemical into the mucous membrane around the hemroid
again causing closure of the vein and shrinking.
Rubber band ligation involves wrapping a small rubber
band around the base of the hemroid which cuts off the
blood flow and causes the hemroid to dry and fall off.
It is obviously better to avoid hemorrhoid
surgery if at all possible and you might be interested
to try a more natural product and one that is even
suitable for pregnant and nursing mothers for treating
your bleeding hemroids. Such a natural healing product
is made from pure essential oils and comes in two
parts – part 1 is to treat the symptoms, pain
and discomfort of the bleeding hemroids while part
2 is used to heal and eliminate the original hemroids.
Bleeding hemroids can be worrying and painful but
they should not be a cause for panic. Fortunately,
they are easily treatable and your doctor may well
be able to help you to prevent recurrence so that
bleeding hemroids and bleeding internal hemroids become
a problem of the past.
