Flat warts are caused by the HPV virus. There are
approximately one hundred strains of the human papillomavirus
and all of these strains cause warts to appear in
the different parts of the body. Many people have
the HPV flat
wart virus present in their system yet may never
see a wart appear. Others may only see one as they
grow older. Flat warts are very small and about the
size of a pinhead. They may not be easily noticeable
at first.
Flat warts may come up on the face for instance in
either a group of twenty or up to as many as one hundred.
Flat warts
are small thin warts which end in a point and can
be found all over the body. The most common areas
are the face, knees, legs and armpits. Flat warts
will have a slight color, being pink or brownish.
They also appear more on younger children and young
men and women. They are not so common in older people.

Acne on the face
Although acne has many causes, the main one is the clogging of the facial pores. Various products used on the face, such as sun blocks and oily make up, can clog the pores. Teenage boys are more likely to suffer from acne as they often have oily faces. Acne is a group of small to large pimples on the face that continually break out.
Acne can be very hard to treat. It can also become
worse if the face is rubbed or the acne picked at.
If a person has many acne pimples, but which have
not yet developed to the stage where a white tip appears,
and that person picks or squeezes the pimples then
this can lead to inflammation.
Adults, like teens, can get also suffer from acne and this is caused by a number of things. Some adults may see a flare up of the the acne they had as a teenager while others may be seeing it for the first time. This can be due to menstruation, certain medications for epilepsy or those containing iodine. Pregnancy is another a factor which can cause acne as the hormones can induce a flare up.
How acne and flat warts look alike
Flat warts can look a lot like acne but if a flat wart is cut open, it will spread to other parts of the face or body. Acne will always be red and puffed up with a white tip. Flat warts are just flat, pink or flesh colored warts which will be very small and never raised like an acne pimple would be. Acne will be a very bright red color.
Flat warts will never go away while acne might clear
up Flat warts do not have a tip but are just small
hard bumps on the face. Flat warts are more common
in children than adults whereas children should not
suffer from acne until they are into their teens.
Flat warts can spread (if cut when shaving) on the
legs, face and armpits but acne will not spread this
way. Remember that if flat warts are suspected, they
can be treated.
