No one wants to grow older and when it starts happening to you or those close to you, it is easy to sink into an aging way of thinking. But it does not have to be like that because today the knowledge is out there and there is so much you can do to slow down that aging process.
Stress never helped you in your younger days and it is certainly not going to help now so make the decision to learn how to deal with stress and perhaps even banish it completely. Stress leads to inflammation and inflammation is at the heart of many conditions that can affect you in later years. Chronic inflammation stretched over the years causes damage, suffering and even death. It's a significant component of the processes of degeneration that accompany aging.
- Having sufficient levels of the vital hormone known as vitamin D is just as important as you grow older. Your optimum levels should be between 60 and 80 ng/ml. If it is not possible because of the climate where you live to get out in the sun for approximately 30 minutes every day, then you will need a vitamin D3 supplement.
Omega-3 fats should be part of your daily diet along with plenty of vitamin C. If you cannot get these from natural food sources, then add supplements such as Carlson's cod liver oil and Acerola Cherry Powder.

Good nutrition and adequate amounts of high quality whey protein may help maintain strong muscles during ageing while helping prevent bone loss and increasing glutathione levels.
- What you put on your skin goes into your skin including toxins and chemicals. Take this opportunity to check out all the cleaners, personal toiletries, laundry products and even garden products that you are using or that an older loved one has in their home. You will find there is a safer, more natural version available.
- Last but not least by following a healthy lifestyle as you age, you are less likely to need pharmaceutical drugs which of course also add toxins and chemicals to your system as well as often leading to unwanted side effects. Try to find alternative and natural remedies for any ailment.
