Shh! What Is The Secret To Treating Nail Fungus?
Nail fungus can often be a bit of a turn-off with sufferers and onlookers alike commenting “yuk” or “disgusting”.
But there is really nothing to be ashamed of because nail fungus is rarely caused by poor hygiene habits. Instead, just a tiny scratch close to the nail bed is all that the fungus needs to gain its entrance and the start of big problems for that toe's owner.
You could have picked up the fungus through such a tiny scratch when walking barefoot around a public pool or in a gym - or a locker room or shower at the same venue.
All fungus loves the same ideal conditions to thrive and grow in – warm, moist and dark places. So whether it is nail fungus, athletes foot or jock itch, the same environment will suit all three.
And of course nail fungus in the toenail is so much more likely than nail fungus of the fingernails because the latter are out in the open and fresh air most of the time and not hidden away in socks and shoes.
What are the symptoms of nail fungus?
If you notice a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail, don't delay in treating it because as the nail fungus spreads deeper into the nail, it may cause discoloration, thickening and the nail can develop crumbling edges which are a very unsightly and potentially painful problem.
In addition, the fungus can spread to other nails and to other people and once fungus gets into the nails, it can be very stubborn to deal with.
So what is the secret to treating nail fungus?
Forget about over-the-counter or prescription pills or creams as they only have a 50% success rate so that half the time, you will be wasting your money on toxic chemicals.
Instead use a 100% natural product with a high rate of success and minus any toxicity.
Our natural product for nail fungus is a safe gentle alternative.
Here is what you need to do
Before commencing treatment, soak your nails in warm water to soften them ready for clipping. Clip as close as possible to the nail bed (without causing any further damage).- Use a nail file to file away any sharp or uneven edges. This will also prevent future problems with ingrown toe nails which is a common complication from nail fungus.
- Clean the nail free of any debris or accessible fungus, making sure to brush the sides of the nail at the same time. An old clean toothbrush will do the job but do throw it away afterwards to avoid spreading the fungus. The same goes for the nail file. Nail clippers can be washed and even sterilized.
- Once the nail is cleaned, dry with a clean disposable piece of cloth.
- Follow the directions that come with our product.
- Always allow your nail or nails and feet to dry completely before putting on any socks or shoes. Ideally, wear flip flops or sandals so the nails can be out in the fresh air as much as possible.
- Once your condition has healed, remember to wear those flip flops whenever you are around a swimming pool or in shared locker rooms or showers.
Continue the treatment even beyond the time it takes to work because all it needs is a single surviving spore for the infection to start up once again. So it's safer to be over cautious.
Follow our steps to success and forget the shh! - we don't mind if you spread the secret far and wide!
