Essential Oils for Every Day Useful Items
Many conditions can be treated successfully, gently and safely with formulas made from essential oils. For example, skin conditions include psoriasis, eczema and athletes foot while more troublesome conditions such as hemorrhoids or anal fissures are all treated easily with essential oils products.
But you can also use essential oils in the home, choosing from our own range of individual essential oils to make your very own products!
Here are three suggestions to follow:
A natural cleansing spray for your home
Simply spray on surfaces that need cleaning around the home – and then wipe clean…
You will need these essential oils:
- 10 drops of clove
- 10 drops of lemon
- 8 drops of cinnamon
- 5 drops of eucalyptus
- 2 drops of rosemary
Mix together in a sterilised glass jar. Add 8 drops of this “oil blend” to 250 ml witch hazel distillate before decanting into a bottle fitted with a spray nozzle. Keep your jar out of direct light to save for future use.
Linen water for your laundry
Doesn’t the name “linen water” sound lovely and refreshing?
Easy to make and, if you are a fan of ironing your linen and other laundry, this is perfect for you.
You will need:
- Mix 30ml vodka, 150ml distilled water and 12 to 18 drops of lavender oil.
- Decant into a bottle with a top or spray nozzle.
Then every time you have some ironing waiting for you, spritz some on to your clothes and linen for a fresh smelling and wrinkle-free appearance.
Fizzing bombs to freshen kitchen sinks, bath tubs and toilets
You will need:
- Silicone molds (with small shapes)
- 300 grams bicarb of soda
- 100 grams citric acid
- essential oil of choice
Mix in a bowl but wear some protective gloves just to be on the safe side.
Add 12 to 18 drops of essential oils – suggest almond, lavender or lemon – and stir with that same glove covered hand to mix. If you find it too dry, add 2 to 3 sprays of distilled water. The mixture should stay held together when squeezed and then pressed into the silicone molds until dry. Push them out and store in a sealed glass jar.
Use as required.
Healing Natural Oils have a range of individual essential oils and they are: Almond, Argan, Hazelnut, Jojoba, Lavender, Lemon and Tea Tree.
