There Is More To The Eye Than You Would Think | Amoils.com
The study of the iris in the eye is called iridology and it gives you a window to the health of your body so that a practitioner of this complementary therapy can pinpoint and predict future problems.
The iris is that colored part of the eye around the dark pupil
Iridology dates back at least 3000 years. Ancient wisdom, combined with today’s cutting-edge lights, lenses, and the latest research, gives the iridologist an insight into the working of your body’s systems, an awareness of potential imbalances, and a clearer understanding of your own uniqueness. Iridology is considered to be the art and science of reading the exterior structures of the eyes to assess conditions and levels of mental, emotional, and physical health by understanding the meaning of the various colors, structures, and accumulations.
The first detailed eye maps were published in 1881 and are used to find signs of constitutional strengths and weaknesses, genetic predispositions, levels of toxic overload or inflammation as well as the body’s efficiency in expelling waste. But in spite of the rise of other alternative therapies, iridology has remained relatively unknown.
In the early days of iridology, the various iris markings – the colors, lines, rings, clouds and wisps – were thought to be the indicators of actual disease. But now these are regarded as indications of potential problems rather than existing ones. The irises can reflect the vibrations from all parts of the body via nerve connections to the brain and nervous system. These vibrations create specific colors, structures, and accumulations that can provide valuable information about the various aspects of the body.
When you go to an iridologist for an assessment, pictures are taken of your eyes. These photos are then viewed on a large screen where you will both see the various colors, accumulations and other details.
When an iridologist looks into your eye, they look for 3 different things
- The strength of your physiology (whether it is strong or weak).
- Inherited weaknesses (whether you have an inherited tendency or predisposition to a particular disease or condition) and…
- Your health trends since the time you were born.
This is what makes this complementary therapy so useful because it helps a patient to forestall any serious problems in the future. They can take active steps to prevent something from becoming a real problem.
Members of the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists also have to be qualified in at least one other complementary therapy which helps them to understand their patients’ health better when practising their iridology, as well as fine tuning the treatment needed.
Much of the focus of modern iridology is on the need for detoxification with many of today’s leading iridologists also being members of the Association of Master herbalists. Herbalists have a strong tradition of cleansing and detoxification so the two therapies can work hand in hand for a holistic solution.

Even if you cannot get to a iridologist yourself, some of the best advice they will give you for a simple detoxification is to drink plenty of water every day with lemon juice plus a pinch of cayenne pepper.
This will put a real sparkle into those eyes!
