Reaching for a Radiant Skin!

We share some tips on how to achieve a radiant skin!

The first is using a salt scrub

Our skin needs to be exfoliated regularly to get rid of those dead skin cells sitting on its surface, leaving your skin looking dull while preventing any skin care products from penetrating your skin as they should.  As a result, your skin will look and feel dry and dehydrated.

You can easily exfoliate your skin by adding a handful of Epsom salts or Dead Sea salts to your shower routine.  Dead Sea salts is best for dry skin while Epsom salts is best for oily skin.

  • Mix together your favourite shower gel with your salts in a bowl to make a runny paste.
  • Thoroughly wet your skin in the shower.
  • Gently massage over your body using light circular movements with your hands whilst still under the shower so that the water creates a gentle lathering scrub.
  • Use only on the body, not on the face or neck, and avoid delicate areas.  Rinse thoroughly and pat your skin dry with a towel.

Than go on to apply Simply Body Oil while your skin is still warm and damp so that it penetrates the skin beautifully after exfoliation and helps lock in moisture.

A word of warning not to use a salt skin scrub on broken or irritated skin.

The second is to bathe in minerals

The suggested salts to use to "bathe in minerals" are Dead Sea salt and Himalayan salt. This is because they both contain a unique combination of minerals which are essential for skin health and wellbeing.

  • Dead Sea Salt has high levels of skin repairing magnesium as well as calcium and potassium, helping to soften and soothe dry, itchy skin.
  • Himalayan salt contains less magnesium, but has a total of eighty four different minerals.

When you add these salts to your bath, you end up with a mineral spa, allowing your skin to absorb these essential skin-loving minerals while you lay back and relax. And then when you leave the bath, your skin will feel healthy, soft and radiant with minimal effort.

The third is to use natural skin oils

The common ingredients in moisturisers - petrolatum and paraffinoma liquidum - are ‘mineral oils’ but not the good type of minerals written about above.  These ingredients refer to a type of chemical called hydrocarbons which are derived from petroleum.  Such ingredients come with some unwanted side effects such as creating a barrier over the skin trapping dead skin cells and sebum to create dull, congested skin. They are also thought to disrupt and damage the natural skin barrier which in turn prevents your skin from keeping itself naturally healthy.

We have mentioned Simply Body Oil above but the extra element for a radiant skin, our Simply Face Oil is a one of a kind all-purpose moisturizing oil which leaves no sticky residue. Your skin will drink in the formula as it promotes clear, glowing skin. It is made from a blend of pure natural essential oils and cold pressed or expeller pressed precious oils - nothing else but love.

Our ingredients help to tighten and tone the skin. Simply Face Oil is rich in high concentrations of vitamins, minerals and powerful anti-oxidants, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, essential fatty acids and squalene. Plant extracts contain all the nutrients our skin requires to be healthy - no need for those long names you can't pronounce or chemicals and preservatives!
